Statement
I have chosen to re-pot myself from several years of working in wood and tin to a more body friendly medium of painting. Wood and tin are organic mediums of distinction. Malleable, carveable, dyed, punched, stained, polished, all events of a life energy which I explored and was won over by. Now the intersection of mid-life has interrupted this journey and old door of the past has re-opened for a new exploration - Painting. Painting now has re-ignited a passion which was once quenched by wood and tin.
My painting work which now lets me disseminate the emotion, love, textures, compositions, lines and shapes of my imagination on a flat surface with globs of pigment using direction, balance, gradation, dominance, repetition and unity. Opportunities become inseparable, beacons of abstract form, simplifications of nature yet strict conviction of form and balance. I do not wish to empty myself of my former life but to only repose the exuberance of what was once the flame and rekindle this with a modern subtly of visual embodiment.

Note: all work is copy written and cannot be used without written permission.

Note: I am currently still living and in the process of building my life resume. This is what I consider important. The other stuff is just what others want to see and talk about with a nice glass of cabernet.
